Teaser styleframes made for Gorillaz's upcoming album The Mountain. The new album is a collaborative album with global artists described as "a playlist for a party on the border between this world and whatever happens next, exploring the journey of life and the thrill of existence."

We visualized the concept of Between Light and Shadow using optical abstractions. Everything was done by capturing silhouettes through paper cutouts, colored lights, 4 Photoshop blending modes, and glowy type treatment. We wanted to create a distinct visual atmosphere inspired by local motifs and Gorillaz’s virtual world. Blending tradition with technology, practical in-camera techniques make the visuals feel analog, tactile, and cinematic.
